What is a ringfeder locking device?
William Brown Simple and quick assembly and disassembly, complete freedom from maintenance and wear, absolutely backlash-free power transmission: RINGFEDER® Locking Assemblies are friction-locked shaft-hub connections manufactured to the highest quality standards.
What is a ringfeder coupling?
Ringfeder® trailer coupling 5050 AM/RL A convenient quick operation air opened coupling for hinged or rigid drawbars. It is the ideal solution for underslung positioning.
How do I get rid of ringfeder?
Lightly oil the shaft and position the shaft in the hub. Then tighten the locking screws, using a torque wrench, to the specified torque according to the mounting instructions. To disassemble the shaft, simply loosen the screws. This releases the pressure on the flange hub and frees the shaft for removal.
How does a ringfeder work?
A Ringfeder is typically mounted to a specially designed and built crossmember on the rear of the vehicle. The vehicle is reversed slowly until the drawbar eye enters the bell, tripping the bolt and closing the coupling.
What is ring feeder?
Ring main distribution system The feeders in this system form a loop which starts from the substation bus-bars, runs through the load area feeding distribution transformers and returns to the substation bus-bars. Ring main distribution system is the most preferred due to its following advantages.
How does a locking element work?
The principle of the design of a locking element is to apply a substantial radial force to two interfacing, machined surfaces and to use the resulting frictional resistance to transmit an tangential force and, in some cases, withstand an axial force along the shaft.
How does locking assembly work?
Locking devices join shaft components by making 360° contact with the shaft and its mating component. As you tighten the assembly, it expands radially—creating a robust compression fit between the two parts. Locking assemblies are your best bet whenever you need to connect a shaft to a hub.
What is feeder type?
Feeders are the conducting device which is used for the transmission of power to the main load center we could get constant voltage from the feeder. There are four distribution feeder systems are used • Radial • Parallel feeders • Ring main • interconnected systems.
How does a shrink disc coupling work?
The shrink disc consists of either one or two thrust rings with tapered bores and a mating tapered inner ring. By tightening locking screws the thrust rings are drawn together compressing the inner ring and applying pressure to the outside of the hub clamping it to the shaft.
What is keyless locking assembly?
Keyless Lock Assemblies are shaft-to-hub frictional locking devices that provide easily adjustable and releasable mechanical shrink fit. There are many different styles of these assemblies to meet individual project needs.
Is Ringfeder power transmission safe?

Why choose Ringfeder® locking assemblies?
Simple and quick assembly and disassembly, complete freedom from maintenance and wear, absolutely backlash-free power transmission: RINGFEDER ® Locking Assemblies are friction-locked shaft-hub connections manufactured to the highest quality standards.
What is the recommended pretensioning force for Ringfeder ® friction springs?
Pretensioning – RINGFEDER ® Friction Springs have to be pretensioned with min. of 5 %, preferably 10 % of the total spring travel. In order not to impair the lubricant film, the pretensioning force should not exceed 50 %. Exceptions are possible after consultation. Pretensioning – For RINGFEDER ® Friction Springs some form of guiding is necessary.
